Co-operative profil

• The STYL PLZEŇ VD co-operative was founded in December 1957. In 1993 it was transformed into a co-operative of co-owners. 
  
  
• It is a company with a longstanding production and sales tradition in the area of textiles, book-binding and office products, cartonage, flat gaskets and cable and wiring goods. 

• It is a member of the Union of Czech and Moravian Production Co-Operatives, the Association of Employers of Disabled Citizens, the Czech Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Cartonage and Packaging Association of Production Co-Operatives CAPA.
   
• It is a company with a longstanding production and sales tradition in the area of textiles, book-binding and office products, cartonage, flat gaskets and cable and wiring goods.
   
• It is one of the leading companies in the area of employment of disabled citizens in the Czech Republic.
   
• Production is focused on co-operation with foreign and domestic companies, on the combination of efficient operations and sheltered workshops – for approximately 2,500 customers throughout the Czech Republic and the whole of the EU.
   
• The co-operative predominantly operates from within its own premises in Plzeň on Radobyčická 24, with a work floor of 7,400 m² and in Dopravní 6, with a work floor of 1,900 m². 
  
  
• Between 1992 -1993 a re-organization and a change in production structure took place in co-operation with the Dutch consultancy firm Holland Project Management, Hengelo.
   
  
• In 2002, with state assistance, construction was completed of factory building No. 4 - Electro in Plzeň, on the Nová Hospoda site. The production of cable and wiring goods and other electro-components is concentrated at the site which employs approximately 80 people.
   
  
• The co-operative operates two of its own outlets and order collection centres (bookbindery and gaskets) in Plzeň, Radobyčická 24. 
  
  
• The current organizational structure of production is based on a production-technology classification of production plants – Textiles, Gaskets and Assembly, Electro, service operations and a narrow co-operative administration. 
  
  
• A substantial portion of production is focused on exports, production co-operation with stable partners in EU countries, in particular in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria.
